My name is Justin Hillyer, I have worked for Holdens Pty Ltd since the 2nd of November 1999. I am currently a work group leader within materials, I am responsible for running the 5000 store and 3000 engine canopy. I have been in this role for 2 years.
As a work group leader of a materials store, I have been responsible for managing the parts in store to ensuring that min/max requirements are adequete. Maintaining organisation within the store to ensuring that breakpoint procedures are followed. Ensuring that stock rotation is preformed in all facites of the job. Looking into any possible shortages that may arrive and report immediatley. Also as work group leader of the 3000 engine canopy I am required to contact the suppliers when the need occurs to order parts for the line or order parts for buffer stock and fixing sequence issues. My computer skills are sound, I have recently been learning Auto Cad, with a view to being put into the role of training other work group leaders on afternoon shift how to use Auto Cad. As well as having knowledge of MGO how it works and what information can be read from the particular database. Also knowledge of mainframe and microsoft office applications. As work group leader I have also been responsible for the writing of JES (job enstruction sheets.My communication and negotiation skills are strong and is something I believe no matter what role you are in, is very important. As stated earlier being in constant communication with suppliers, supervisors and work group leaders I believe that my communication skills are of a high standard.
Previous to my employment with Holden's my employment was with the Australian Army, I was based at the School of Infantry at Singleton in New South Wales. Responsibilitys that I had within this role was organising equipement to be taken into the field, Organising what would be required, filling out inventory request and placing orders for material. At the end of a field phase, I was resposible for accounting for all equipement and ensuring material was signed in. The equipement ranged from vehicles to weapons, ammunition. As well as general stores items such as communication equipement, night vision equipment, and other items.
I believe that I would prove to be an asset to the company if I was succesful to obtain this position. As I have a good knowledge of what is involved and what is needed for a person in this position. Commitment to my work is of the up most importance to me and will strive to be the best that I can be. I am a fast learner and would pick up all fascits of the job quickly.

I have been able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in the last 20 years of my career within the pharmaceutical industry at various levels. Particularly supply chain and logistics from warehouse to ward level and have a good working knowledge of databases used in shipping throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region of both ambient and refrigerated supplies.
To enhance my skills I would like to further my knowledge and experience in the supply chain field of operations.
The ability to work as part of a team and liase with suppliers and customers stands me in good stead to be an asset to any potential employer.
